January 2012
Dear Pastors, Friends and Family,
Deputation & Family Update
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! The past couple months have been a whirlwind of traveling, preaching, sharing our burden for Colombia and seeing God do miracles. We’ve seen people saved through personal soul winning and in church services, and we’ve seen major financial needs met by God’s mighty providence. He is GOOD!
We’ve now traveled a total of over 31,000 miles and have gained several new supporters recently, even three this past week! Praise God. If you haven’t joined our team of financial partners we’d love to be your missionaries to Colombia! Millions have still never heard. Will you help us get there? By the way, if you haven’t seen our ministry video yet, check it out on our website: www.bemagnified.org or contact me and I can mail you a DVD copy.
We had asked prayer for Hells Gates, a program our home church did during October. It was incredible! 3,500 people walked through a reality drama of the end times, and over 400 came to know Christ as their Savior! We also participated in two conferences that promote missions in which many gave their lives for full time Christian service. I love this stuff!
Our pregnancy is going well, and the doctor just informed us last week that we’re having another GIRL! I’m quickly being outnumbered, but we thank Christ for entrusting us with another little child to raise.
Out Of The Mouth Of Babes
Amira, who is now 21 months old, absolutely loves to sing. She gets a couple of things mixed up but it sure is cute! We frequently hear her joyfully sing: “I.B.I.B.I.B…book and me… BIBLE!” or, another favorite: “Jesus loves me, little star, how I wonder, up above Jesus.”☺

If you ever want to say “God bless you” to a Spanish-speaking person, just say, “Que Dios le bendiga.” (Pronounced: kay dee-OHS lay ben-DEE-gah)
Prayer Requests
1. Aubrie’s pregnancy – Baby girl due on May 24th
2. That we would be a blessing to churches as we travel & present our ministry
3. The 44,000,000 Colombian people who have never heard the Gospel!
4. Financial Support (now at about 20%)
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We love you and pray for you often.
Servants of the King,
Aaron, Aubrie, Amira (& Baby) Vance

I Love Church!
We’ve been having a wonderful time with the good people at Crossroads of Life Baptist Church in Canton, GA this week during their missions conference, which ends tonight. What a blessing it has been, with good preaching, good singing, good spirit and good fellowship with other missionaries and church members that are passionate about reaching the world… AMEN!
Well, tomorrow, we get to start another missions conference at one of my favorite churches, Vision Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA. I spent some time in Peru 7 or 8 years ago with the pastor of this church, Austin Gardner. He is a unique leader with a passion for training young men to reach the world. We are definitely honored to have a part in their world missions team. It’s going to be an exciting week, no doubt!
After Vision’s conference ends on Sunday morning, we’ll make the drive up to Sylva, NC to the Victory Baptist Church for their missions conference starting that evening and going until Wednesday.
All in all, we’ll have been in about 32 church services during the month of September. Maybe more, we’ll see.
You know what? …I love church!
I love the opportunity to worship Jesus, study his Word, promote missions, and fellowship with other people who are passionate about God’s GLORY! It’s wonderful, isn’t it? What is your favorite thing about church?
10 Years and 800 Sermons
I was 15 years old, nervous, excited, and desperately wanting God to work through me. It was a Saturday night Youth Revival at a small church in Flowery Branch, Georgia, and it would be my first time preaching.
After weeks of reading, studying, praying, fasting and begging God to do something great, the night came. I preached for 23 minutes about Daring to be a Daniel. I think I preached through about the entire book of Daniel before we finished. 🙂 One young man came forward and dedicated his life to Christ. It was worth it!
That was 10 years ago. God has opened so many doors since then and it has been such a joy preaching His Word. There’s nothing greater than knowing Christ and making Him known!
By God’s grace, He has allowed me to preach around 750 or 800 times in nursing homes, rescue missions, chapel services, mission churches around the world, our Spanish church, and now on deputation at churches across the country. I’m not worthy, but praise the Lamb, HE is!!
Over the past 10 years I’ve learned a few things, and I’m still trying to learn each day. Here are a few things God has taught me:
1. It’s not me, but it is Christ that can change lives!
“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:5-7
2. The Bible text should be the central focus of the message, not my fancy outline!
“Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” Acts 20:26-28
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
3. God’s word will not return void!
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
4. The message must first be preached to me!
“The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” 1 Peter 5:1-4
So, 10 years have passed and unless Christ returns soon, I look forward to many, many more years of preaching and enjoying every opportunity He gives me to bring forth the Word of Life! I wouldn’t trade it for anything. He is worthy!
Let No Man Despise Thy Youth
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
2 Timothy 4:12
Christian Junior camp was always special to me. From the time I was 8 years old I’ve been able to enjoy at least one week a year of lots of preaching, fun games, new friends, Bible memory and lasting decisions for Christ. In fact, it was at a Junior camp when I was 11 that God called me to be a missionary!
Today was the last day of my church’s annual Junior Camp and they invited me in to preach the morning service. It was wonderful to sit in a room with 80 children and quite a few sleep-deprived teens and adults, all eager to hear the Word of God. They’ve already seen several saved this week and many make decisions for God. There were two more young men that acknowledged their need of salvation this morning. Will you pray with me that they settle that soon? The Holy Spirit was moving in their heart! Also, after I preached on Josiah this morning, over 30 kids and teens made decisions to step out and make a difference for God, to go against the world’s norm, and to surrender their life to Him. Hallelujah! Pray that these decisions will last and that God really will use them for His eternal Glory.
I often wondered as a child, “what can I do, being so young?” This has always brought me back to 1 Timothy 4:12. You see, being young isn’t the issue. Just as being tall, short, fat, skinny, black, white, ugly or pretty isn’t the issue. The issue is a perfect heart toward God. He can use anybody that’s willing to be used. And we, as Christians, need to realize that it’s not about us. It’s all about HIM! He can take the smallest tool and create a masterpiece. And when it comes down to it, that’s all we are–His tools. And it sure feels good to be a tool in the Master’s hand!
Let’s not discredit our young people. They are today’s harvest and tomorrows leaders.
Also, please pray for the Faith Factor Teen Camp my church hosts every year. This is for Middle and High school age young people and will take place in less than two weeks. We’re praying that God saves many, calls many to Christian service and works on all of our hearts in a special way. Check out the video that was put together for the camp here:
